Product Insights
At CA$95, the Brilliant Maison Set delivers a heavy, forged 18/10 stainless steel 20-piece flatware set that rivals Tramontina Classic in weight and balance for two-thirds the cost, promising two decades of daily use. Its straight-cut, squared handles offer a minimalist alternative to curved profiles, yet buyers must accept a small teaspoon, a mirror finish that picks up fingerprints and shows water spots, and the necessity of a felt-lined storage to maintain its shine over time.
Verified claims
- Durability
- 18/10 stainless steel lasts 20+ years with daily use
- Forged build
- Forged from 18/10 steel, the set weighs ~1 kg, with each utensil ~50 g.
- Value
- At 95 CAD, matches the forged weight and balance of Tramontina Classic for two-thirds the price.
- Spoons
- 4 soup spoons included; buyers report the teaspoon is too small.
- Handle design
- Straight-cut handles with a square cross-section contrast with competitors' teardrop and beaded profiles.
- Care
- Water spots dull the mirror finish more than scratches do.
- Storage
- Store in a felt-lined organizer to prevent micro-scratches that dull the finish.
- Spoon sizing
- The set includes soup spoons and a teaspoon many find too small.
- Design and representation
- Buyers report the set's look differs from photos; it has straight-cut handles and weighs about 1 kg.
- Finish options
- Available in silver, satin, black, and gold; all finishes share the same handle for mixing.
- Fingerprint resistance
- Mirror finish shows fingerprints, easily wiped clean; satin/black variants are less prone.
- Spoon type
- Includes soup spoons rather than dinner spoons for versatility in everyday meals.
- Teaspoon size
- Teaspoon is reported as too small for practical daily use.
- Spoon design
- Spoon handles match the set's straight-cut minimalist design.
