As a sociologist in training, ceramicist Roxane Charest is interested in the relationship we have with our environment and the way that relationship shapes our lives and activities. In her art, she takes control of space, dictates it, and moulds it to her own rhythm in a way that deters waste and overconsumption. With that interest in mind, the utilitarian objects she creates are built to be timeless, heartwarming, and soft and made in a way that makes us want to welcome them into our homes to embrace life's joys and funny moments!
