Concrete Cat

Montreal, Quebec

This one-of-a-kind workshop was founded in 2007 in an abandoned building on the outskirts of Edmonton, where artists Shawna and Matt Heide started experimenting with concrete. Fascinated by the industrial material, they saw within it an incredible potential for creativity. Today, the company consists of seven passionate concrete artists who skillfully combine traditional technology and innovative science to push the boundaries of 3D materials. By doing so, the team proves that concrete can rise above just sidewalks and bleak buildings and that it's aesthetic to its core! The artists explore colours, shapes, and patterns, creating architectural designs ranging from furniture to captivating works of art.
