Product Insights
This Biederlack throw offers decades-long durability through a jacquard weave that integrates the pattern structurally and overlock-stitch edges that prevent fraying and snags, with a 58% cotton blend that avoids the sweaty cling of synthetics while providing wool-like warmth via acrylic loft. Its 420 g/m² weight gives a substantial drape that resists creases, but maintaining the pattern's vibrancy requires gentle 30°C washing and air-dry flat, plus occasional use of a fabric shaver for pilling. While current production is rare, the brand's 1990s blankets remain in regular use today, underscoring a tradeoff of enduring construction needing careful upkeep.

We received this blanket as a Christmas gift sometime in the 90’s, and it was my sister and my favorite as kids, so it is well worn and threadbare now. I know that it is Biederlack. I’ve only been able to find the red varietal of this blanket, but it would mean the world to my mom if I could find a match!
