Long-term use and repair of a touch lamp
I got a touch lamp like this as a graduation gift in 1997 from one of my mom's aunts. I took it to college and it was absolutely perfect for my dorm room. It came home with me and then to my new house, and around 2015 the bulb finally burned out! Later on I accidentally touched it with a wet hand and the touch mechanism shorted out. I got a replacement mechanism on Amazon and fixed it - good as new! Still use it daily.
