Product Insights

The Flambette Fig And Cypress Reeds Diffuser, 30 CAD and in stock with 1 review, is a small-to-medium-room background scent whose creamy lactonic fig softens dry cypress into a grounding, cabin-like evergreen; its cypress alpha-pinene supports rest-state calm on breaks without dulling focus at work, though at a faint throw it calms and when strong it turns sharp. It is not a whole-room fill, and its throw peaks in the first 7–14 days before fading ahead of the fill looking empty, while the diffuser typically lasts 2–6 months depending on environment and reed flipping. Five reeds are the efficient configuration and all go in together, with throw tuned by exposed height rather than stick count; place it in gentle airflow away from heat and sunlight, flip reeds weekly and leave them tall above the neck for strongest throw, and replace the five reeds about monthly, sooner if the throw fades. Refills include an 8 oz Fig + Cypress refill that doubles the 4 oz fill and works as a diffuser on its own, plus a 15 ml Fig + Cypress fragrance oil refill in UV-blocking blue glass. Flambette is a Trois-Rivières, Quebec house run by three friends, Marie-Michelle, Tania and Roxane, not a fragrance lab, and this product sits in a coordinated line of candles, diffusers and mists.

Verified claims

material

Calming effect
Cypress alpha-pinene calms at a faint throw and turns sharp when strong

Suited to a small or medium room as a background presence, not a whole-room fill
Throw over time
Scent throw peaks in the first 7-14 days and fades before the fill looks empty
Longevity
Diffuser typically lasts 2–6 months depending on environment and how often reeds are flipped.
Reed count
Five reeds is the efficient configuration, sized for a small-to-medium room.
Reed setup
All five reeds go in together; tune throw by exposed height, not stick count.
Placement
Place diffuser in gentle airflow away from heat and sunlight for optimal scent.
Reed maintenance
Flip reeds weekly and leave them tall above the neck for the strongest throw.
Reed replacement
Replace the five reeds about once a month, sooner if the throw fades.

Brand story
Three friends Marie-Michelle, Tania and Roxane run this Trois-Rivières, Quebec house, not a fragrance lab
Brand range
Part of a coordinated Flambette line of candles, diffusers and mists
Paraben and phthalate free
Flambette states the Fig + Cypress fragrance is free of parabens and phthalates, while the reed diffuser listing does not publish a full INCI ingredient list, so a fully plant-derived base remains unconfirmed.
Scent profile
The fig note has a creamy, lactonic facet that softens the dry cypress/conifer profile, so the scent reads as a woody, grounding evergreen-forest fragrance rather than sweet, citrusy, or smoky, with soft fig sweetness rather than a big fruity top note.

Fig And Cypress Reeds Diffuser: Choose this if you want a soothing, woody home fragrance blending figs and cypress that the merchant describes as evoking the heart of an evergreen forest—a scent character, not a measurable property. It comes in a 4 oz. matte white squat glass bottle with a pale green neck label and five natural, unstained wooden reeds, in a single Fig and Cypress size and colour. It is made in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, which may appeal if you prefer locally made decor.[1,2]Peach And Ginger Reeds Diffuser: Choose this if you want a summery, fruity home fragrance: the scent blends peach and ginger, which the merchant describes as evoking warm sun-kissed skin with ripe peach. The 4 oz glass bottle comes with five long, thin natural rattan reeds and a glossy white rounded design with a small peach-colored label. It is handmade by Flambette, a Canadian brand, and made in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.[3,4,5]Raspberry And Vanilla Reeds Diffuser: Choose this if you want a subtle, nostalgic accent scent — its blend of sweet, slightly tart raspberry with warm vanilla is described as evoking childhood candy — in a matte white glass bottle with five wood reeds, handmade in Trois-Rivières, Quebec from natural ingredients, in a 4 oz size. Note that reviews analysis reports a very weak scent throw, with some users smelling little to nothing unless standing directly over the diffuser, so it may suit close-range fragrance more than scenting a whole room. The reeds are meant to be replaced about once a month.[6,7,8]

Does not diffuse any smell

★★★★★Poorva J.

I liked the smell when I immediately opened the bottle, but I have had the diffuser in my room for almost a week now and the room does not smell like anything. I thought it was because the fragrance was subtle, but even subtle scents can be detected in an enclosed room after some time. I even let the reed sticks soak for 24 hours and then flipped them and still it didn't make a difference. My room is not big at all, an average size room for a single person living in Toronto city.
