Brushing raises a warm, moisture-wicking, silky non-scratchy nap with a soft sheen and fuzzy matte face rather than a crisp woven grid; the pile, not the weave, ages, and brushing restores it. The exposed edging zip makes the cover removable, and Klippan sells the cover alone for €44, so one feather-and-down insert can be re-dressed across five same-size, same-price colorways—ivory neutral, pink tonal, chocolate dark anchor, copper mid-warm, and mint cool—with chocolate hiding soiling that ivory shows; the insert can also be swapped for any standard 45×45 cm one.
