Product Insights
The Textured Tissue Box by Simons Maison is an affordable, responsibly sourced cardboard cover that hides standard tissue boxes and blends into any room's decor for under $10. Its larger size (4 cm wider, 2.5 cm taller) gives a substantial presence, but the cover requires dry cleaning (dusting, baking soda) as cardboard cannot tolerate moisture, and refilling necessitates full-lift removal due to no bottom door. The white variant is a warm off-white that shows stains more easily, while the black hides scuffs. Despite these tradeoffs, buyers confirm its sturdiness and value at 80–93% less than premium alternatives, backed by a 184-year retail heritage.
Verified claims
- Decor integration
- Buyers report this cover hides standard tissue boxes and blends into bathroom and other room decor.
- Material
- Textured cardboard from responsibly sourced paper, avoiding faux-leather look.
- Size & fit
- A buyer measured this cover as about 4 cm wider, 2.5 cm longer, and 2 cm higher than standard tissue boxes.
- Daily use
- Sturdy responsibly sourced paper/cardboard cover withstands daily use; routine cleaning is dry dusting with a microfiber cloth, and refilling requires lifting the cover off entirely.
- Durability
- The black version hides smudges and stains better than the white version, but prolonged direct sun can fade the finish.
- Care
- Routine care is dry dusting with a microfiber cloth; use baking soda for odors, cornstarch for greasy marks, and blot spots with a barely damp cloth.
- Refilling
- No bottom access hole; refilling involves lifting the entire cover.
- Value
- Reviews describe the cover as sturdy and a good value at 10 CAD, and it is far less expensive than the $30–$98 decorative covers in one editorial roundup.
- Brand story
- A Simons Maison exclusive designed in Canada, carrying a 184-year retail heritage.
- White undertone
- One buyer reports the white colourway has a slightly yellowed cast, while other reviewers describe it as plain white or bright.
- Stain resistance
- White cover shows stains and discoloration more easily than black.
- Texture
- The cover has a fine raised textured pattern on the exterior that adds tactile surface interest without the faux-leather look common on budget covers.
- Modern silhouette
- Buyers describe the cover as clean-lined, simple, and chic, with a sleek, modern look that fits bathroom and countertop decor.
- Standard fit
- This cover is designed to fit standard rectangular facial tissue boxes such as Kleenex; it measures about 9.5 x 5.5 x 3.5 inches overall, and reviewers confirm a standard box fits perfectly.
- Moisture sensitivity
- The cover is uncoated paper/cardboard and is not sealed against moisture, so a steamy bathroom can cause swelling, warping, or water stains if it is routinely splashed.
- Color options
- The tissue box cover is offered only in black and white, with no patterned or accent colourways.
- Dispensing opening
- Tissues dispense through an oval opening rather than the rectangular slot common on budget covers, which softens the look while keeping dispensing functional.

Hiding a generic tissue box on the bathroom counter
Place this textured cover on a bathroom or powder room counter to conceal a standard tissue box and add a clean, polished look that matches most decor. Its sturdy, textured finish holds up to daily handling. Note that it adds about 4cm on each side of the box inside, so it may be too bulky for tight countertops or narrow shelves, and the white colourway has a yellowish undertone that may clash with some decors.[1]
Hiding plain or garish tissue boxes around the home
Slip this textured cover over a standard tissue box to keep packaging out of sight on a bathroom counter or in open-plan living areas, where its minimalist design blends into most decor. Note that it runs larger than the box inside — about 4cm wider on each side and 2.5cm taller — which some shoppers find bulky for tight countertops or narrow shelves.[1]
Styling seasonal decor
Customers use this tissue box as part of seasonal decor styling. Its neutral tones and subtle texture work well with winter or holiday arrangements without clashing.[1]
A quick accent for refreshing a room
Customers reach for this tissue box when they want to give a room a quick refresh. As a small decorative piece, it can act as a polished accent that instantly elevates the look of a space. Reviewers highlight it as an easy way to update a room's feel without a bigger redecorating project.[1]
Tissue cover for busy family spaces — with refilling trade-offs
In high-traffic family settings, this cover holds tissues for shared bathrooms and living areas. Per a customer review, it has no bottom access hole, so refilling means handling the entire unit — a chore some family members avoid, which may leave the cover sitting empty.[1]
A cover for pulling tissues from the top
This textured tissue box cover holds a standard tissue box and lets you pull tissues up one at a time through a single opening in the top lid. The removable lid makes it easy to swap in a new tissue box when the current one runs out.[2,3]
Product comparison
Compared within this brand.
| Textured Tissue Box: Choose this if you want a minimalist, textured cover that hides generic tissue packaging and adds a clean, polished look on a bathroom, powder room, or open-plan living space counter — reviewers report the sturdy cardboard finish holds up to daily handling. It fits standard tissue boxes but adds roughly 4cm on each side, so skip it for tight countertops or narrow shelves, and note the cover has no bottom access hole, making refills a chore some households skip. If you pick the white colourway, be aware it may show stains over time and has a yellowish undertone rather than pure bright white.[1] | Sage Textured Tissue Box: Choose this if you want a decorative cover that hides store-bought tissue packaging: its sage hue and linen-like texture reportedly complement green towels and blend into boho or nature-themed rooms, with a removable lid and oval dispensing slot on a rigid cardboard structure measuring 9.75 by 5.5 by 4 inches. Note that the cardboard is uncoated, so reviewers report it stains permanently from even small water splashes, making it risky near sinks, showers, or high-humidity bathrooms unless sealed. Build quality is described as inconsistent across units—some found it sturdy while others received dented or poorly assembled boxes—so it is less suitable for rough handling or frequent-touch spots.[4] | Contrasting Foliage Tissue Box: Choose this if you want to hide a plain store-brand tissue box behind a decorative piece — reviewers say the all-over green foliage print on a white background adds a bit of the outdoors and brightens up any area. The rigid, sturdy cardboard body measures 9.5 by 5.5 by 3.5 inches, is made of responsibly sourced paper per the listing, and features a removable lid with a centered oval dispensing slot for easy loading and cleaning in busy households. Note that matching pieces in the design are sold separately.[5,6] |

Boite mouchoir

This Tissue Box looks so nice in my Bedroom
I had the same actual tissue box for years because it matched my decor. I just kept pushing more facial tissues down into it, LOL. But having a couple of your tissue boxes (bedroom + office) is so much better.
cute
nice tissue cover! looks great on my shelf!

I had the white version of this box that was basically cardboard and it’s looking rather ratty, this black one should hold up much better to little finger smudges and stains.
