DISCOUNT ON SIMONS PURCHASES

This is a highly popular benefit among our staff. After only 1 month of service, each member of our team receives a 20% discount on their Simons purchases. After 5 years of service, the discount increases to 30%. Managers receive a 40% discount. Twice a year, all employees benefit from a 40% seasonal discount. 

PAYCHEQUE


Paycheques are directly deposited into employees' bank accounts every Thursday. Our employees appreciate this fast and safe way of receiving their paycheque as well as the convenience of not having to travel to pick up or deposit their cheques.

FINANCIAL STABILITY WHEN YOU ARE ILL


Simons offers eligible employees up to two weeks of fully paid sick days. For an absence of more than 17 weeks, the employee can apply for salary insurance which is equal to 70% of the employee's salary and can cover a period of 26 weeks. The premiums for this insurance are financed entirely by Simons.

DRUGS AND MEDICAL TREATMENT


Simons offers a prescription drug plan providing 90% reimbursement for eligible employees, their spouses, and their children. Our group insurance also covers certain specialized care and medical treatments, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic care, podiatric care, osteopathic care, and more.

TRAVEL HEALTH INSURANCE


Travel health insurance, fully financed by Simons, covers you anywhere in the world. If you are hospitalized outside Canada, the insurance covers the cost of a hospital room for an unlimited number of days. The maximum reimbursement is $1 million per year per person insured. This plan also covers medical and surgical care required during hospitalization.

LIFE INSURANCE

Simons offers eligible employees $15,000 in life insurance coverage. Employees can increase their insurance at a low cost, up to a total of $250,000.

DENTAL INSURANCE

Eligible employees can subscribe to our dental insurance program, which provides 90% reimbursement for dental care. Spouses and children of our employees are also welcome to enrol.

REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN (RRSP)


The Simons RRSP is full of options and possibilities to assist our employees in planning a financial future tailored to their desires. Employees can contribute as little as 2% of their salary or as much as their legal contribution limit. They can also adjust their contribution rates at any time during their career as their personal requirements change. Employees select the investment vehicles and can change them at any time. They can also use their RRSP funds to purchase a home under the HBP (Home Buyers' Plan).

SIMONS DEFERRED PROFIT SHARING PLAN (DPSP)


When you contribute to a Simons RRSP, La Maison Simons makes weekly contributions to employees' DPSP account. The contribution is between 2% and 5% of the employee's salary, based on the number of years of service. Employees select the investment vehicles and can change them at any time.
